On 5th Janury Day 2 of the Welsh Junior Open took place at NIAC. Leckwith track only opened on 2nd January after their normal festive break, so little time to prepare unless athletes trained at NIAC.

First events on track were 1500m for U17M and U17W. Lloyd Jones won Gold for SWA. Gwenno Goode 14yrs, won a good tactical U17W race. 

Gabby Dickinson U17W won the most individual medals, winning 3 events 60mH, LJ, and 60m. The event includes SWA. EWA. and WWA Regions, and athletes from West Country.
