Junior Academy costs

Junior long jump Academy membership costs £72 per term in addition to which each member must be a full member of Cardiff Amateur Athletic Club (subscription currently £35 per year) and, in order to compete must be registered with Welsh Athletics (current registration fee £13.00 per year). Academy members receive an attractive branded training T-shirt and an Academy handbook as well as a report at the end of each term.

What does it cost?

Please note all costs below are annual subscription fees, apart from track fees that are payable on each visit.

Standard Categories:

20 years and over - £45

19 years or less - £35

Special Categories:*

Full-time students - £20

Family Membership - £90

Senior Citizen - £20

International Athletes - Free

Welsh Athletics registration:

20 years and over on 1st April - £21.00

Under 20 years on 1st April - £13.00

* Full time students: Whilst in higher education at university or equivalent, members are eligible for a reduced rate subscription of £20 per year.

* Family membership is available to parents with children in school and the special family rate covers all family members. No joining fees are payable. Once a child reaches the age of 20 he/she must join the club as an individual member (but does not need to pay a joining fee) and ceases to be a member of the family group.

* International athletes: Any club member that represents his/her country, at senior level, in the Olympic or Paralympic Games, World or European Athletic Championship or Commonwealth Games shall receive free membership.

Any athlete that competes for a Welsh club must be registered with Welsh Athletics and pay an annual registration fee. The current registration fees, which came into effect on 1st April 2024. The Welsh Athletics registration fee is payable to the club at the same time as the club subscription and the club pays this over to Welsh Athletics.
