With the weather impacting on everyone, the best place to compete was indoors or if not competing watching some great athletics from Birmingham in the Birmingham Muller GP.
Jeremiah Azu came 8th in the final with a time of 6.63s. This is another time close to his personal best showing he is in great form.
Sam Gordon had a win in the City of Birmingham Games in a time of 6.73

Not far away in Sheffield saw the BUCS indoor Championships. A number of Cardiff athletes representing their University took part.
Rebecca Chapman who has been in excellent form through the winter claimed silver with a jump of 6.20m.
James Heneghan another athlete showing he is a Championship performer by running away from the rest of the field to win the 1500m in 3.47.47.
David Locke had a great ran in the 800m to finish 2nd in a time of 1.51.67
Michael Ward won the 3000m won by a tenth of a second in a time of 8.36.36 to become champion after an exciting finish

At NIAC the Welsh junior indoor open took place. The clubs junior athlete performed well.
In the Pole vault in the U17’s saw Aharon Graham-Mulvaney jump 3.50m and Leon Gregson jump 2.60m
In the U17 60m saw Lewis Stephens finish 1st in his race running 7.28s.
Jose Alzate- Gonzalez ran 7.68 to finish first just out his PB in the U15 race.
Jessica Mantle had a first with a PB in the U17 women’s 60m. GraceRichardson and Francesca Morgan also ran PB’s in their 60 m races.
Katie’s Higginson in the U15 race ran a PB to finish third.
In the U15 men’s race saw a clean sweep for Cardiff athletes with Tomos Davies winning with a PB time. Harvey Lee was second with another PB and Iwan Froley third with a seasons best.
Yasmin Hamid ran well and  finished 2nd in her U17 800m
Rebecca Harries came 3rd in a close finish with second placed runner in U15 800m.
In the U13 800 m race Isobel Davies ran a PB of 2.43.15.
Joshua Sanders ran excellently to finish 1st in the U17 1500m in 4.33.51 a PB.
Ella Mitchell ran a PB in the U17W 60m hurdles to finish 2nd.Ella also jumped a PB of 2.90 in the pole vault to finish 3rd.
In the U13 shot saw Ava Hughes-Rolls finish 2nd with a PB 6.98m

4th Gwent league for the brave, took place in Bristol. In difficult conditions Cardiff athletes performed well.
Osian Phillips came 4th in the Novice race
Cardiff Boys U15 team came 3rd overall.
The U17boys ream came 1st overall.
Rhys Hardman came 2nd in the U20 race.
The U20 team came 1st overall.
Elinor Smith came 2nd in her race.
Lily Parsons was 3rd in the novice race
The Novice Girls Team came in 3rd overall.
The U13 girls’s  team finished   4th overall.
The U15 girl’s team 2nd. Overall.

In America Emmanuella Kobe  put on fine performances in the 60m and 200m races. Finishing 1st in her heats.at Winston-SalemNC, USA
