Cardiff athletes competing all over the world with great success.
UK schools Games at Loughborough saw Osian Roberts finish 3rd in the Long Jump.
Aharon Graham-Mulvaney competing in the Pole Vault finishing 7th.
Jeremiah Azu was in action again competing in the ISTAF Berlin. Where he came 3rd in a time of 10.16s another fantastic time.
Cari Hughes took part in the 1500m in World Athletics Continental Tour , Luzern running a PB in the B race 4.13.70s to win.
BMC race in Exeter saw Cian Harold run a personal best in the 800m crossing the line in 2.01.36
Ben Reynolds finished 3rd in the Lewis & Clark opener, Portland, USA over a 4 mile cross country course.
Mia Clatworthy finished 5th in Lake Charles, USA running over a 3km cross county course.
At Lee Valley sprints Night saw Anax DaSilva finish third in 100m in 10.88s
Welsh Masters Championships took place in Aberdare. Athletes from age 35 plus taking part.The oldest athletes competing were over 80.Age groups are in 5 year periods. It’s a great way of staying fit and meeting like minded athletes.
There were a number of Cardiff athletes taking part.
Emma Pengelly came 2nd in V35 100m with a PB of 13.48.
Chris Shepherd also had a PB in the V40 100m finishing second in 12.62s.
Brian Dias was 3rd in his age group in the 800m. He also finished 2nd in the 1500m in his age group. Tim Fry was 7th in the same race but 2nd in his age group. Tim was first in his age group in the 5000m.
Chris Shepherd came first in the V40 long jump jumper 4.74m.
Brian Dias had an extremely busy day coming 2nd in the V35 long jump. He finished 1st in the triple jump and hammer V 35.
Well done Cardiff Masters still seeking and enjoying competing. It’s never to late to compete and follow your dreams.
