SIAB Belfast.

Congratulations to Aharon Graham Mulvaney who was the Welsh male captain .
A team of 63 athletes represented Welsh Schools Association.
It was an early start for those taking part having a coach journey to Holyhead then ferry to Ireland.
They arrived in the evening before the competition started the next morning. Thirteen medals were won by the team. All athletes gave of their best in strong competition and gained valuable experience for their future competitions.
Aharon came third in the pole vault. Ella Mitchell finished 7th in her pole vault competition.
Francesca Morgan was 7th in the triple jump. Salem Mbimu-Kiambi came 6th in his triple jump.
Eurion John came 6 th in the discus.
On the track Anna-Rose Merchant came 5th in the 800m.
Salem finished 7th in his 100m race.
Anais Shepperd finished 5th in the 300m. She was also a member of the 4x300m team that came third.

Well done to all those Cardiff athletes representing Wales in this schools international.


At English Athletics Senior and Disability Championships so Aled Davies throw 56.21m to set a new World Record in the discus. This was his last competition before the Commonwealth Games.

At Bedford the English Athletics U20 and U23 Championships took place. A number of Cardiff athletes took part.
Emmanuella Kone finished 7th in the U20 100m final.
Lauren Evans came 2nd in the U23 High Jump and 4th in the 100m hurdles.
Mark Mellor was placed 3rd in the U23 pole vault.
Ffion Mair Roberts came 4th in the U23 400m.
Larry Ryan was placed 8th in the U23 5000m
Moli Lyons ran a seasons best in here 1500m U20 heat
Ffion Palmer came 6th in the U23 Hammer.

BMC meeting at Stratford Rhiannon Linington Payne ran a PB in the 800m finishing 2nd in 2.05.87.
BMC meeting at Watford saw David Locke win the 800m in huge PB time 1.46.5.
Kate Sears was also in action finishing 3rd in the 1500m in 4.26.53

Cardiff open meeting and Welsh endurance championships saw Lloyd Sheppard Brown win the 5000m in 15.05.38. Alex Jackson finished 4th in 15.17.40
Aled Davies finished 3rd in the discus event with a throw of 54.46.
Jac Palmer finished 3rd in the hammer.
Harry Hillman had a win in the 400m in a time of 48.95 and John Bridge finished 4th.
