Welsh Schools AA Championships.

On a very hot afternoon many Cardiff athletes were competing for their schools and area. There was some outstanding competitions. With the chance of representing Welsh Schools in Belfast against the other home nations.
Lewis Stephens won the U17 100m running just outside his personal best.
Kay Asiya Placide won her 100m race in a seasons best time of 12.54. She also finished 2nd in 100m Hurdles.
Jessica Mantle was 4th 0.01 s behind third.
Jose Alcatel-Gonzalez finished 3rd in the U15 100m.
Morgan Hubbarde finished 2nd in the U20 200m.
Thomas Provis finished 3rd in his 200 with a PB time of 24.25s. Lewis Barnes finished 5th in the same race.
Jemima Robinson came 2nd in U20. 200m.
Millie Webb finished 4th in the U17 200m
Jack Farrell came 3rd in U15 300m. Millie Webb came 3rd in U17 300m.
Anais Shepperd ran a 41.07 a PB in the 300m to win U15 race.
Max Davies and Jemima Robinson both finished 2nd in their respective senior 400m.
Rhys Hardman won senior men’s 800mand 1500m in a PB times. Rhys Smart ran a PB finishing 4th and Oliver Price came in 5th.
Cian Harold came 4th in the U17 800m.
Under 15 800m saw 3 Cardiff athletes competing. ThomasDavies came 2nd. Harry Turner came 3rd with a PB time and Finley Saycell also running a PB came 5th..
Ellen Eirys James ran a PB in the senior woman 800m.
Joshua Sanders won the U15M 1500m
Gwenno Goode and Millie Gold came second in the U20W and U15W respectively 1500m.
Kobe Beltran had a Seasons best in the 3000m finishing 7 th.
Iago Parrish ran a PB in senior 400 hurdles finishing 2nd.
Aharon Graham- Mulvaney ran a PB in the U17 400H running 59.92s Aharon also had a win and a PB in the pole vault jumping 4.00m
Joseph James had a PB in 1500m SC.
In 1000m walk Will Thomas had a PB as did Jessica Parsons.
Jacob Mace came 3rd in the senior High Jump with a jump of 1.70. Leon Gregson jumped the same height in the Middle boys high jump.
Sebastian Mitchell- Fofana jumped a PB in the U15 pole vault.
Ben Vincent jumped a seasons best in the senior long jump finishing 2nd.
Lewis Barnes had a 3rd place in the U15 Long jump.
Gabby Dickinson had a good win in the senior Long jump jumping 5.16m.
Salem Mbimu-Kiambi won the U17M triple jump, with Francesca Morgan winning the women’s.
Eurion John was a clear winner in the U17 discus winning by over 7 meters. Eurion finished 2nd in a competitive javelin completion.
Sonny McCabe had a great win in the hammer with a PB of 33.05m. Rhys Lewis finished 3rd.

Well done to all who took part in the Welsh schools competition.


Cork City Sports, Cork

Sam Gordon and Dewi Hammond competed in 100m. Sam finished second in 10.33s and Dewi 6th in 10.43s.
Jenny Nesbitt was placed 6th in the 3000m and Charlotte Arter finished 9 th.

BMC and University of Birmingham open.

James Heneghan won the 800m in 1.52.30
Lloyd Sheppard-Brown ran a PB in the 5000m a time of 14.31.85s finishing 2nd.
Morgan James finished 7th in the 1500m running 3.51.88

At University of Birmingham track and field Festival saw Kate Seary run a PB in the 1500m running 4.18.32s. Lloyd Sheppard-Brown dipped under four minutes in 1500m running 3.59.

Cheltenham Midsommer Open

Aharon Graham- Mulvaney came 2nd in the senior 200m.
Aharon had a PB in the U17 javelin.
Bryony Boyce had a PB in the 1500m running 4.44.43s

Newport Jumps festival

Megan Hastings jumped a PB of 1.55 m
Francesca Morgan had a second place in the triple jump jumping 10.71

Stoke Manderville BWAA Grand Prix Series

Charlie Goodwin finished 1st with a throw of 8.44 m and 2nd in the discus with a throw of 21.75m
