The club is sad to report that John Lister, one of the architects of the structure of modern-day athletics in the UK died on May 6th after a long illness aged 81. As an outstanding all-round athlete, he won 12 Welsh titles at various events during the 1960s and became one of Europe’s leading athletics administrators.
He was one of the founders of the club in 1968 and a leading light in the club for over 60 years.
