Dear Members, Coaches, and Supporters,

We’re thrilled to announce a new partnership between Cardiff Athletics and Frame Running Dragons! This collaboration aims to promote inclusivity and provide more opportunities for athletes of all abilities to get involved in our sport.

Frame running is an adaptive sport that enables people with physical disabilities to experience the joy of running using a three-wheeled frame for support. Through this partnership, we hope to welcome new members and volunteers to help grow this exciting initiative.

Whether you’re interested in volunteering your time, supporting training sessions, or know someone who might want to join as an athlete, we’d love to hear from you. Your involvement will be invaluable in creating a more diverse and inclusive athletics community.

All the information is at the bottom of this email and we would appreciate you sharing .

Volunteers are the lifeblood of athletics. They are the everyday heroes who make running competitions, growing talent and providing opportunities possible. Become part of something special, gain skills and help people fulfil their potential.”  https://www. welshathletics.org/en/page/ become-a-volunteer )
A Memorandum of Understanding was recently established between Cardiff Athletics and the Frame Running Dragons, Cardiff in order to develop collaborative partnership working for the mutual benefit of young people and adults of varying abilities, including those with Cerebral Palsy or similar conditions/diagnoses, who may benefit from the mutual support and coaching resources available.
By working together, Cardiff Athletics and Frame Running Dragons Cardiff, the two clubs can advance amateur sport, physical movement and engagement by promoting athletics, frame-running and related activities.  Both clubs are established for members of the public who wish to benefit and enjoy healthy activities, and offer a range of opportunities for young people and adults with a range of abilities, impairment or additional needs.
As a result of this partnership, there are now an increased range of opportunities for athletic coaches, medically trained staff, and parents /guardians able to spare an hour or so to help as volunteers.
New volunteering opportunities
There is growing acceptance that volunteering can offer benefits and improvement to  mental, physical, and social health and well-being, which can result in improved quality of life, pride, motivation, and a sense of social support, through being part of a community.
