Congratulations to Evie Wong and Millie Wiggins

Congratulations to Evie Wong and Millie Wiggins, two Cardiff Athletics Sprinters who represented Great Britain at the World Lifesaving Championships in Riccione, Italy, 21.9.22 to 2.10.22.

Over 50 teams from around the World competed in the sea, pool and on the beach.

Evie, (Youth Team Captain) won the silver medal in the Beach Flags sprint final, and was delighted to achieve bronze medals for the Ski (open water kayak) and in the GB Team Beach Relay final.

Millie has represented GB previously but this was her first, at senior level, competing in the Open (seniors) category. She was a finalist in the Beach Flags sprint and semi finalist in the GB Beach Relays Team, in spite of her training being disrupted due to illness.
