Congratulations to Cardiff runner Clara Evans, (Chris Jones) gaining her first Great Britain vest in the IAAF World Half Marathon Championships. To be held in Gdynia, Poland, on 17th October.
Clara has had a number of recent really good race results over 5km road races, with best time this year of 16.21. Clara’s 3rd place in Larne, Northern Ireland, Half Marathon finishing in 72.21 pb. Clara is excited to be running in GB team, achieved by consistent training in the last 12 months.
Chris Jones (Wales Head of Performance) said Clara has shown considerable improvement in the last 12 months, and will now have her eye firmly set on the Commonwealth Games Marathon standard in 2021.
