Kobe Beltran won the U13B race in Gwent League 3 in Bristol on 7th December. Kobe join our club in 2018 joining our club Junior Academy sessions hedl at Cardiff International Sports Stadium in Leckwith, Cardiff. Kobe joined Mark Gold Middle Distance group, and soon showed a natural ability in running events.

This winter Kobe moved into our club main coaching sessions, with Mark Gold's older Middle Distance group. Kobe finished 9th in Gwent League 1 in Cardiff, 5th in Gwent League 2 at Pembrey, before winning in Bristol. The competition in Bristol is noted for the number of english runners taking part, thus a higher standard. Kobe ran to advice from his coach, ran a perfect race, taking lead near end, leading a group of runners racing hard to finish line. Note: Kobe wearing new Cardiff's vest.

Kobe is an example of what can be achieved by starting in our club Academy.

In 2020 Kobe moves up to U15B age group, in first year he will be bottom of the U15B age group.

Lloyd Sheppard U17B won his race in Gwent League 3 at Bristol with a tough run in to line finish, as he also led a group of runners all finishing fast to finish line.

Lloyd was 12th in Cardiff Gwent League, won Gwent League 2 at Pembrey. Lloyd races more endurance races on Road and Cross Country, rather than track events.
